The book
We are proud to offer the 2017 Weather Almanac for Australia. It contains nearly 500-pages of  isobaric maps, regional summaries, temperature trends for all major cities and States, rain tables, dams and snow diaries, and written event diaries that cover floods, frosts, hail, storms, snow and dust, for each State for every month of 2017.

As well there are state summaries for the year and trend graphs for each state that combine temperatures with precipitation that can be read at a glance. As always, our method uses the orbits of Sun and Moon, and weather cycles.

The almanac is the only longrange weather book published for Australia, and it has been an annual publishing event for Australian agriculturalists since 2007.   It is your one-stop shop for longrange forecasting for the continent.

The Outlook
Overall, 2017 is likely to result in average rainfall across the country as a whole, with above average rain for WA, NT, QLD and NSW and slightly below average rain for SA, ACT, VIC and TAS. WA can expect around a third more rainfall than normal, mostly as a result of cyclonic activity over the wet season. SA and VIC may worry the most about rainfall deficiencies. Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin, Perth and Hobart  will receive above average rainfall, whilst Adelaide, Canberra and Melbourne will be below average.
February and March will be the wettest months. Find out what months are below average and which will be the driest. This may surprise. Summer will be the wettest season as a result of  moderate monsoonal activity, mainly on the western side of the country, while winter will be the driest season.

Extreme Events diary for Australia 2016

The almanac already lists these verbally. But to list as tables proved too large because of the extent of rains and flooding in late summer and winter, so this is a 272-page pdf e-book listing all events next year in all states of Australia, both by event and by state and in easy-to-peruse table format. Can be viewed on electronic devices.  Cost: 22.50AUD
